About

I began this blog as a way to keep my friends and family updated about how I was coping with breast cancer. And even though I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer at age 32, I assumed this blog would be short-lived because I didn't know anything about cancer. I assumed I'd beat cancer and that would be the end of it. I didn't know I'd still be in active treatment two years later, didn't know the "recovery" part of my journey would look like this, didn't know I'd still have so much to say about the topic. I definitely didn't anticipate I'd actually move past a terminal diagnosis.

And I don't know how my story will end, but I try not to focus on the ending. I am living with this disease, watching my little boy -- and girl! -- grow up, hoping for a cure, and sharing my story along the way. I hope you'll stay awhile and follow along.

Oh, and all of the content here--writing, photos, and anything else--is original unless otherwise noted. That means it's also copyrighted and may not be used without my permission. Interested? Send me an email; I'm generally happy to oblige.

I'm also working on a memoir about my experience as a new mom going through Stage 4 breast cancer. Please stay tuned...
